A newly planned port infrastructure has a well-ordered, integrated and uncongested area, with 7 specialized terminals, with approximately 4km of quay, 1 intermodal logistic zone and large covered and uncovered storage areas.
It has a rail infrastructure that connects to the Trans-European transport network rail corridor. Motorway access by road is lightly congested and connects the port with the main cities in Portugal and Spain.
